摘要
The paper applied method explored various locations on seventeen countries, including Brazil, where they were preserved already partially or totally disabled prisons, and respective museums. Such places are currently intended to visit for purposes of culture and entertainment. As a result, it was found that the meanings these institutions and structures were in their nations may be picked up by visitors, and then forming important knowledge for future generations, so that the mistakes of the past are not repeated. Contacts were made with managers of some of the places, visits to their websites as well as in -person visits. After all, as a conclusion, there was severe contrast between the others countries public policy and Brazil, where important places that once served for incarceration today are poorly preserved, in ruins, or even have imploded, which means, differently other countries that did not hide their prisons errors, Brazil tries to occult them.
