Block of constitutionality and control of conventionality: strengthening the protection of human rights

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the relevance of the block of constitutionality and the control of conventionality to protect of human rights in Brazil, from the showing of the conceptual and practical aspects. To this end, bibliographic and documentary research was carried out in national and international doctrine, legislation and jurisprudence. After analyzing the data, it was found that there is still, in Brazil, some distrust in using both institutes, which can be attributed to unfamiliarity of its benefits and the fear of using international treaties as parameters for the non-application of internal rules, situation to be urgently overcome.
