Studies about constructions of masculinities have become increasingly prominent among the gender studies, over the past decades. If feminist theories launched questions about the cultural constructions of gender in sexed bodies, about the historicity of sex, and on the instability and the eternal repetition and reiteration involved in the learning of gender, studies on masculinities came launch issues on the diversity of voices, experiences, corporealities and male performances of gender, pointing to the multiplicity of masculinities. This work aims to revisit and discuss productions about the male dancer, whose discussion turns to the relationship between gender, sexuality and masculinities.
