摘要：
This paper analyzes the determinants of innovation through the integration of external strategies, company internal capabilities and type of industry, in the same framework, considering both, R&D and non R&D variables, in a context of low and medium technology. The analysis is based on a sample of 138 enterprises (SMEs) belonging to the metal-mechanical sector of the province of Alicante.
