摘要
The Fourier-transform far infrared spectrum of (CD30H)-C-13 methanol has been recorded from 14 to 50 cm-1 at a resolution of 0.002 cm-1 on the modified DA3.002 Bomem spectrometer at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics, National Research Council Canada, Ottawa. Clear ground state a-type J multiplets are seen in this region. Assignments of these J multiplets add to the ground state information obtained from associated IR fundamental band studies to form a solid base of ground state data over an extensive range of torsion-rotation quantum numbers. Global fitting of the available a-type data has yielded an improved set of a-type molecular parameters. The results are applicable to further IR studies, FIR laser assignments, and laser Stark experiments for this isotopic species of methanol. In addition, because two of the hot-band CO2 laser lines of recent interest lie moderately close to IR absorptions of (CD3OH)-C-13 belonging to particularly interesting energy level systems, FIR laser line wavenumbers have been predicted for these systems in the hope of future discovery.
