A percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy (PEJ) is preferred to a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) for enteral feeding in certain conditions. The PEJ can be placed under local anaesthetic and sedation, thus avoiding the morbidity associated with an open procedure. We describe the construction of PEJs for enteral feeding in three patients suffering from Roux stasis syndrome.
