A general method to compute precise approximations to invariant tori of Hamiltonian systems is presented. For illustration, a strongly nonlinear example from accelerator theory is treated, in 2 1/2 degrees of freedom. Accuracy, computation time, and effectiveness near resonances are found to be highly favorable in comparison to previous methods.
