ZONAL AND BIOTOPIC PECULIARITIES OF THE EFFECTS OF ENDOGENOUS AND EXOGENOUS FACTORS ON THE POPULATION OF BANK VOLE (CLETHRIONOMYS-GLAREOLUS SCHREBER, 1780)
On the basis of long-term field-station observations in four qualitatively different sections of the range of bank vole, the author quantitatively evaluated the distribution of effects of intrapopulation and external factors on the dynamics of its demographic indices. It was shown that in the fall and winter period population processes are determined by external factors, while during the reproductive period they are determined by intrapopulation factors. Such a distribution of the effects of factors acting on the population practically does not depend on the quality of the habitat or its geographic location.
