摘要：

The work "Ludwig Feuerbach and the End of Classical German Philosophy" by F. Engels takes a special place in Russian historiography. It is considered to be the first definition raising the basic question of philosophy. The paper provides a comparison of classic texts to fragments of "Logical Investigations" by Adolf Trendelenburg reveals the contrary. Discourse analysis of such concepts as "basis question of philosophy", "movement", and "practice" shows the way free intellectuals, competing with academic philosophers, correlate philosophical classifications to interpretations of the achievements of science.
