PRIMARY BREAST ANGIOSARCOMA

Malignant vascular tumors are rare, and the most common angiosarcoma in this group is seen in less than 2% of all sarcomas. Angiosarcoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor most commonly seen in the breast. It is then frequently seen in the heart, pericardium, liver, skin, bone, lung (usually metastatic) and soft tissues. Primary constitutes 8% of breast sarcomas and 0.04% of primary breast tumors. Breast angiosarcoma has been reported in up to 219 cases. Diagnosis is made by fine needle aspiration biopsy, computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. Mastectomy is applied in treatment. The benefits of chemotherapy and radiotherapy are controversial. Despite early diagnosis and treatment, survival is not good. Here we present a 48-year-old female patient with primary breast angiosarcoma and undergoing mastectomy.
