ANXIETY IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: STUDY OF A SAMPLE OF STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION

摘要：

This study analyse the necessity of research in the area of prevention of anxiety. The sample consisted of 106 college students of Faculty of Education from the Complutense University of Madrid, who completed the State-Trait Anxiety Questionnaire (STAI). The results showed a significant percentage of students with symptoms of anxiety. Unusually high anxiety levels among education students have important consequences that are likely to persist beyond the duration of higher education. The results are useful for mental health analysis at university environments and to guide prospective studies.
