摘要
Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAID) are of considerable importance in the long-term treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases. They limit inflammation and reduce pain and thus allow for physiotherapy essential for long-term prognosis. This review summarizes the results of treatment with the indolacetic acid derivative acemetacin in 4734 patients suffering from inflammatory rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. In all of these studies acemetacin showed marked antiinflammatory and analgetic activity which equaled or surpassed that of other NSAID. In most cases, adverse reactions occurred less frequently and were less pronounced with acemetacin.
