摘要
Throughout this work genetically modified organisms will be analyzed (GMOs) in view of risks to food health and the environment, especially the precautionary principle and the labeling of products. From a comparative dimension of three distinct realities, ie the US, Europe, emphasizing the Portuguese market, and the Brazilian - under an environmental perspective, the labeling of products will be faced with consumer rights, although in certain occasions, given the lack of adequate and clear information of the products that are being offered and consumed, consumers do not know what they are consuming.
