COMPUTER MODELING OF POLARIZATION CURVES IN PASSIVE SYSTEMS

A previously described procedure has been significantly expanded in its capabilities. It is feasible to include passive behavior in the anodic reactions routinely. This is accomplished through the inclusion of two new parameters for each anodic reaction, a potential, v//p//a//1 for the first anodic reaction, which marks the onset of passive behavior, and a corresponding current, i//p//a//1, characteristic of the passive region.
