This paper presents an adaptive boundary element method for 3-D eddy current computation using local error estimation. New local error estimations are introduced in using the conventional boundary element method. And the boundary element method considering surface impedance boundary condition is also proposed. The good convergence characteristics of the estimated error are found using the proposed methods in some models.
