摘要
The article discusses the amazing phenomenon of inconsistencies between the "politically correct" in the perception of history in Germany (and also in Europe as a whole) and historical reality. This situation has arisen not due to external political pressure on the Germans after the war and trials against Nazi criminals, as is commonly believed. The main role in the process of German repentance played a "revolution of 1968", and the desire of politicians to present the Holocaust as an absolute evil, which has no precedent in history. Paradoxically, although this view is contrary to historical reality, it contributed to political stability in Europe and the integration of Germany into the EU.
