摘要
According to the neoclassical school all economic labour is but a forced for the sake of consumption and individuals try to minimize effort relative to the pleasure of consumption gained. One may try to qualify the theory with the following: 1. not only economic benefit but various non-economic advantages may also motivate labour; 2. all labour is a combination of two elements: reproductive and creative activities; 3. non-economic benefits are proportional to creative activity. This study investigates how an individual optimizes his or her labour input and to what extent the results differ from the conclusions of the neoclassical model.
