摘要
The results of an investigation into the use of polarized light for turbidity measurement are presented in this paper. Preliminary experiments were carried out using an ophthalmic slit lamp. Following this, a wider range of turbidity measurements were made using an optical bench-mounted ellipsometer employing a laser diode source. Results have shown that for Rayleigh particles, in addition to changes in scattering angle, different polarization states can be used to obtain a wide range, linear turbidity response. For Mie particles the dependence on polarization state is much less marked.
