摘要
A model of mechanical vibrations in the cochlea is investigated; the basis of the model is the representation of the cochlea by a distributed (wave) system with loosely coupled oscillators connected along it. The main distinguishing attribute of the model is the fact that the high frequency selectivity associated with the oscillators is combined with transient processes having short time constants typical of wideband wave systems.
