摘要
The main objective of this paper is to take stock of the main research of history textbooks from an international perspective. First, it analyzes the papers that have thought the use of the textbook in history classes through the review of teachers and students and in building the ideal textbook. Second there has been a bibliographic review of main research from the area of social science education that features the history textbook from America, Europe and Spain. The analysis of historical content provided by the textbook, its role in the construction of social and cultural identities, and skills development are the main lines of research. This article is the presentation of the special issue "The textbooks of social sciences and history education. Identities construction and skills development".
