摘要
A simple model approach is proposed to describe the penetration of an extra electron, transferred from a chemisorbed molecule, onto the surface of a vanadium oxide catalyst. The model provides conclusions regarding the probable penetration range. The necessary numerical parameters are estimated from the results of semiempirical SINDO calculations performed for small molecular clusters.
