THE EFFECT OF RADIATION INHERITANCE IN THE ORDERING FE3AL ALLOY

摘要
While investigating Cu-Al alloys and Al previously irradiated by high-energy particles a new phenomenon has been found - radiation inheritance. This phenomenon is revealed by the fact that the effects of radiation ″are memorized″ by the irradiated materials even after high-temperature phase transformations, including melting and crystallization. The results of reactor irradiation and subsequent heat treatment influence upon Fe//3Al alloy structure having phase transformation of ″order-disorder″ type under heating are presented in this paper.
