CYTOGENETIC FINDINGS IN AN ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR CAT WITH CONGENITAL DWARFISM

摘要：
The case of a six month old Oriental Shorthair cat that was presented at the Small Animal Clinic due to a severe growth retardation is described. After excluding other possible causes for the dwarfism, a karyotype analysis was performed which demonstrated a chromosome E2 with prominent satellites. Possible cytogenetic causes for this phenomenon are discussed and compared to similar reports from human genetics.
