Since the introduction of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, the indications and assessment of risk for this procedure have undergone continuous modifications. Discusses five articles to assess what constitutes ''high risk'' in laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with acute cholecystitis, previous abdominal pains, and severe medical problems.
