Librarians' Leadership for Lifelong Learning

Within the context of a quality initiative to improve organizational performance, the author conducted action research on lifelong learning in libraries throughout the state of Delaware from 2007 to 2010. This article is based on the dissertation, Librarians' Leadership for Lifelong Learning, that reported on that research, and contains updates on additional action research conducted in 2011. Conceptual tools and recommendations provide guidance for library leaders in developing policies and systematic proactive approaches to services for lifelong learners.
