摘要
Dealing with development, it ' s becomes necessary to incorporate into the daily business, sustainable practices, which seek for the equilibrium between the explored natural resources and the regenerative and assimilative capability of the earth, keeping the economic interest of the production, and covering all the social needs. Agreeing with this issues, the cleaner production methodology, proposes an optimization into the consume of raw materials, water and energy, and also search for sustainable pratices, enabling a reconstruction of the productive activity, and also in the services provided by the society, generating environmental, social and economic earnings. Therefore, this work seeks to evaluate the applicability of the cleaner production methodology into the productive process of a furniture industry. Aiming the reduction in the consume of row materials, and the decreasing in the residue production, we selected as the main focus of this work, the electrostatic painting section, justifying this choice, by the possible opportunities related to the reduction in the consume of epoxy paint, used on the spray booth. As a result, it was possible to estimate a annual economy in a 9319kg epoxy paint purchase, beyond the possibility of improvement into the occupational health, elimination of repetitive efforts, and decreasing on the residues production.
