摘要
This ar ticle examines the evolution of the international arrangements related to the fight against organized transnational crime. Since the beginning of the 20th centur y and following the foundation of the League of Nations, the concern among the international community about the threat that pose crimes such as drug traf ficking, ter rorism and money laundering, grew up. However, early agreements were created to control specific crimes and were mainly bilateral or regional over inter national agreements with a wider par ticipation. The United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime of 2000 became a major step forward taken by the international community to give an adequate response to a problem of such magnitude, creating a common language and taking into account all the forms of organized transnational crime on a single agreement.
