ARE THE EXPERIMENTAL-DATA ON THE DECAY PI-]E-NU-GAMMA CONSISTENT

Experimental data on the decay pi --> e-nu-gamma involving stopped pions are analyzed in an effort to test the results of a study of the in-flight decay at the Istra installation of the Institute of Nuclear Research. The hypothesis that the theoretical description of the decay is at odds with the experimental data is significant at a confidence level of 95 %. An estimate of the deviation from the standard description of the decay agrees with experimental data from the Istra.
