摘要
It is difficult to calculate the time dependence of current and voltage for multiple coils considering mutual coupling when a coil is quenched. We describe the simulation method that calculates the time dependence of those values under the condition that the coils were quenched. Using this developed method, current changes and temperature rise in a 4.7 Tesla superconducting small bore magnet are calculated. From calculations, we found that the temperature rise was less than 200K in superconducting shim coils and 125K in main coils. Consequently, coils can be protected without protection resistance.
