摘要
We report Mossbauer measurements on powder and single-crystal samples of the antiferromagnet (NH4)2FeCl5.H2O over the temperature range 1.4-300 K. Contrary to recent work we find no evidence for a structural phase change just above the ordering temperature (T(N) almost-equal-to 7.3 K). Our data below T(N) contradict a previously proposed canted spin structure; they also suggest the existence of more than one magnetic hyperfine field and magnetization curve.
