摘要
The study sought to know how Environmental Education (EA) is treated in the training of nursing students of a university in the interior of the state of Mato Grosso. It aimed to know the view of teachers and students about the interrelationship between health and environment, the perception of EA and how EA is inserted and addressed in the training process. The study is qualitative, exploratory and descriptive. It had as a method the documentary research and the comprehensive interview. It was evidenced that teachers have broad conception about the environment and its interrelationship with health; however weaknesses in the concept of EA persist in teaching. The results point out that EA is not adequately inserted in the training of nursing students due to the lack of teacher knowledge and unpreparedness regarding the subject, lack of interdisciplinarity and lack of institutionalized EA policy.
