摘要：

From of mediatory term "public sphere" the paper aims analyze the relationship between literary criticism and literature, approaching and setting in debate two methods and theories of literary criticism and literature: between Johnson's criticism and Russian formalists. Those two conceptions of literary criticism have as characteristics in common decisive moments of transformations in the history of literary studies, such as changes in the notion of literature and in the relationship between criticism and society.
