摘要：
The structure of a 1 GeV/c broad-range magnetic spectrometer is briefly described. The spectrometer includes a magnet system and a detector and data acquisition system. The momentum formula for the extended edge field case for a nonfocusing magnetic spectrometer has been derived. The momentum resolution, solid angle, momentum acceptance, and other parameters for this spectrometer are calculated by Monte Carlo simulation. The effects of multiple scattering and position resolution of the detectors on momentum resolution of this spectrometer are discussed.
