Industrial ecology and the circular economy. Current challenges to the development of basic industries in Ecuador

In Ecuador, both; industrial ecology and the circular economy are challenges for the process of developing basic industries that generate inputs for the rest of the industries in the country. This work focuses on answering, from reflection, two fundamental questions; the first of them: What is the role of the basic industries in the generation of inputs for the rest of industries in Ecuador? and the second: How to achieve a national production that responds to a greater extent to the current trends of industrial ecology and the circular economy?
