摘要
This article has the objective of investigating how computer classes have been taught in the early years of Elementary School, from teachers' understanding. Based on a qualitative research approach, we conducted a collection of data, basically by means of semi-structured interviews with teachers at a public school in Porto Firme, state of Minas Gerais. The data analysis allowed us to infer that in spite of teachers recognizing that computers in school can be an important tool in the teaching and learning process, they feel insecure and unmotivated to use them in their pedagogical practice. From this study, we have concluded that the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in school, when only used as technological support, does not represent changes to the pedagogical practice. In addition, investments are required for the training of teachers so that the ICTs can become didactical tools that allow new forms of teaching and learning.
