摘要
Few therapists test their assumptions about how they do therapy against what they actually do. The purpose of this article is to offer clinicians an evaluation method to assess adherence to their integrative theories of therapy, how their clients respond to their implementation of their theories, and their ability to make and track changes to theories of therapy during the process of evaluation. This method produces practice-based evidence. A case study example with three couples is used to describe the use of the method as implemented by the first author. Using the integrated model was found to influence ongoing sessions and cases in a number of ways that resulted in changes to the author's integrated therapy model during the case study example. Discussion includes the use of the evaluation approach for therapists, limitations to using this approach, and suggestions for future research.
