摘要
In the field of magnetic recording technology, magnetically soft films with saturation magnetization as high as possible are needed for further development of the recording density. Only a few materials with high saturation magnetization satisfy the conditions of magnetic softness where both the magnetostriction and the crystalline anisotropy must be very low. In this work, FeC films deposited on ZnO substrates by ion beam sputtering were studied. The purpose was to see whether the metastable single phase of FeC deposited on ZnO is thermally stable. The dependence of the magnetostriction and HC on composition, substrate temperatures, and heat treatment was studied.
