摘要：
The article examines the significance of modern methods of monitoring of socio-economic development of the regions taking the example of regions of the North Caucasian federal district of the Russia Federation. Systemized and effective supervising of information about the changes of socio-economic situation in the regions and their locals makes possible to take proper managing decisions at federal, district and regional levels of state government.
