摘要
This paper proposes a collaborative art practice, in which we study and experience the enormous power of the arts as a tool for social and cultural dynamism in non-formal education centers, concretely with seniors groups. Several problems are addressed from a theoretical and practical point of view: - The ignorance, alienation, misunderstanding and lack of appreciation of contemporary art practices by the majority of the population, contrast with the wide appreciation that in general deserve the arts in its most traditional aspect. - This leads us to reflect on the limited importance attached, in practice, to cultural and artistic competence in formal educational curricula. - In non-formal education, the situation is not better. Although demand and appreciation of artistic training activities is large, and freedom in curriculum development is greater, reduced resources for arts education in municipal centers makes it difficult to work. The importance of the educational role of these centers is crucial because its proximity allows the access to the training and to the culture to people who have been left out due to several life circumstances.
