摘要：

This text suggests a semiotic interpretation to the value-exchange value-use value trinity with which Karl Marx defines commodity. Reading Capital and its Marx's drafts, the text tries to demonstrate that those basic Marxian concepts can be associated to Peirce's concept of sign and also to the semiotic or linguistic work concept by Umberto Eco and Rossi-Landi. This approach can help to clarify the nature of the work carried on by TV viewers or net users in their activities with electronic communication means.
