摘要
Aim: To study body composition, exercise capacity and their relationship to the risk of developing non-communicable chronic diseases (chronic diseases) in young women. Design: A cross-sectional, observational and descriptive study was conducted on 310 women, who were grouped according to their body composition and exercise capacity in Met, high-risk group (HRG, n = 89) and low-risk group (LRG, n = 221) to develop chronic diseases. Results: Significant differences were observed when comparing subjects classified according to their ability to exercise Met, anthropometric indicators with BMI, % fat, waist circumference (WC), p<0.01. In the high risk group, we found correlations between variables: body weight, BMI, and risk factors for chronic diseases: % fat, WC and systolic blood pressure, Met, p < 0.01. Also between the % fat, WC risk factors and BMI, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure, p < 0.01. Finally, an inverse correlation was seen between exercise capacity in Met and risk factors: BMI, % fat, p<0.01 and with WC, p<0.05. Conclusions: We found that a low exercise capacity in Met and higher values in body composition associated with a high risk of developing chronic diseases in young women.
