Usability evaluation to software products: a practical study case

Internet allows information accessibility, and there are many sources and devices to access allows end-user leave them if his expectations aren't satisfied. The software industry must build high quality products, more useful and they should give better end-users experiences. Nowadays software quality's usability has become more relevant, probing its influence in software acceptance and success. Usability must be ensured in development process, but end-user only perceived it using the software when its finish, enhanced the importance to evaluate software's usability in early stages of development process. Its abstract perception inforce to search new methods to ensured it satisfies the end-user's growing demands. This research evaluates software's usability through a study case to probe if they satisfy end-user usability's needs. Evaluation strategy is divide in three phases: first phase characterizes the development process and it's usability treatment. Second phase evaluates usability following international methods. Finally, the third phase user test are applied. Conclusions in this paper group elements to contribute to grow the usability's insurance process.
