摘要
Sorption experiments were carried out to investigate the sorption behaviour of Co-66(II) and Zn-65(II) radionuclides from aqueous solutions onto zirconium(IV) selenomolybdate gel matrix. The effects of pH, initial concentration of Co(II) and Zn(II), sorbent dose, contact time and temperature on the sorption process were investigated. The data showed that the sorption kinetics and isotherms were fitted well to the pseudo-second order and the Freundlich models; respectively. Thermodynamic studies were carried out and it was found that the process was spontaneous endothermic in nature. According to the data obtained, the prepared material can be used as a promising sorbent for removal of Co-60(II) and Zn-65(II) adionuclides from aqueous solutions.
