摘要
Al-4.5 wt.% Cu-2.0 wt.% Mn alloy specimens were solidified at two different cooling rates. The solute distribution across a dendrite arm was established and a model was introduced to predict the distribution of copper. The dissolution kinetics of the nonequilibrium ternary eutectic was studied experimentally and analytically, using a cylindrical diffusion model. The predictions of the model were found to be limited to short times.
