摘要:
The adsorption interaction of monomer and polymer molecules with the surface sites of kaolinite in polymerization of styrene on it was studied by diffuse reflection spectroscopy. It was found that the carbenium ions formed are stabilized on the surface of the mineral in the adsorbed state. Both during and after the reaction, some of the oligomer molecules are protonated by the acid sites of the kaolinite and are located on the surface in the charged form, while some are in the molecular form. The oligomer molecules in the charged form are chemisorbed on the kaolinite and are not removed from the surface by solvents.
