摘要：
Tooth decay is a common side effect of orthodontic therapy and often leads to irreversible dental hard tissue damage. The prevention of new carious lesions during orthodontic treatment is very complex and has limited effect with high risk.. Therefore, the decision for a therapy should be pondered very carefully and based on the caries risk.
