PREDICTION OF TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN ROLLING TIRES USING THE FINITE-ELEMENT METHOD

摘要
A steady-state rolling tire is idealized by a FEM calculation under inflation pressure, centrifugal load, and vertical loading. Dependent on the used materials the heat sources are determined from the calculated strain energy. Based on this the steady state temperature distribution within the tire cross-section is calculated by FEM. Comparisons with measurements show satisfactory agreement with the predictions. Some results are presented from parametric studies.
