CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF THE COHERENT OSCILLATION SYNCHRONIZATION IN SHUNTED TUNNEL-JUNCTIONS

We have studied the influence of external circuit conductance G(S) on the Bloch oscillation synchronization by a high frequency harmonic signal in Josephson junctions with small capacitance and tunnel conductance G(T) (max (G(S), G(T)) << e2/n). In the case G(S) << G(T) the Bloch oscillations are synchronized by all harmonics of the signal frequency in the junctions with the strong Josephson coupling and by all its harmonics and subharmonics in the junctions with the weak Josephson coupling. In the opposite limit G(T) << G(S) synchronization takes place only in the junctions with the weak Josephson coupling and carried out only by even signal frequency subharmonics.
