摘要
Parents have an important influence on their children's youth sport experiences, and programming designed to help parents function effectively in the sporting context can benefit parents, athletes, and coaches alike. The purpose of this article is to present a series of workshops designed for parents and conducted as part of a larger sport psychology program in a youth sport setting. Along with a description of the interactive activities used in the workshops, the article will include a discussion of the theoretical underpinnings of the program and suggestions for sport psychology practitioners interested in developing parent-focused programs.
