FRUSTRATION EFFECTS ON THE LOW-TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES OF ULTRASMALL SUPERCONDUCTING ARRAYS

摘要
A two dimensional array of ultrasmall Josephson junctions is studied. In this system quantum fluctuations are known to induce a phase transition at low temperatures. Using a quantum Monte Carlo method we determine the quantum fluctuations induced transition temperatures as a function of the frustration parameter to find that they exihibit a rich structure.
